Use YouTube!
You don’t need a big fancy video camera.
Creating a simple video of your raffle car or motorcycle is pretty easy, even if you’ve never made one before. Most modern digital cameras have the ability to take movie clips that you can save to your home computer and then upload onto to the internet to sites like YouTube.com.
Most digital cameras on the market today, and for the past several years, have the ability to record digital video. If you own a somewhat new digital camera chances are it’s got this ability. If not grab a friends camera. Not sure how to work it? Find a 14 year old. They seem to know everything about everything.
Setting up a Youtube.com account to post your videos to is a simple and free process. During the set-up and upload phase be sure that the “Allow Embedding” option is active. This should be the default setting but just make sure. This will allow other webmasters to showcase your raffle video on their site. On top of that you, or the person who’s in charge of your organizations website, can easily post your video to your organizations site. Pretty good stuff.
If you can’t find a digital camera with video capability anywhere you can try these ideas on getting someone else to make you a video for free or check out Amazon.com. They’ve got tons of digital cameras
for around a hundred dollars that you can take video with and they’ve also got a Flip Video Ultra Series Camcorder
which is pretty slick. This little wonder lets you take a video, use the built in USB drive to connect to your computer, edit it with the built in program and upload directly to YouTube.com. Pretty neat.
If you’d rather have someone else do it for you, for free, I’ve got a few tips on this post. Thanks!
